Fon Cortizo (Vigo, 1978) recibe el premio a mejor película internacional en el Festival de Gijón (FICX) en 2020 por su primer largometraje de ficción, 9 Fugas (9 Fugues).

En los últimos años, escribe y dirige cortometrajes y documentales como Contrafaces (2015), Aysha (2016), Americano (2017) o Filomena (2017). Con sus trabajos recorre festivales como Shanghái International Film Fest (China), New Horizonts (Polonia), Molodist (Ucrania), Visions du Reel (Suiza), Edinburgh International Film Festival (Escocia), D’A, Zinebi, Play-Doc o FICXixón (España).

Actualmente, dirige la residencia de desarrollo de proyectos cinematográficos, Conecta Lab, en la isla de San Simón.

Fon Cortizo (Vigo, 1978) received the award for best international film at the Gijon Film Festival (FICX) in 2020 for his first fiction feature, 9 Fugas (9 Fugues).

In recent years, he has written and directed short films and documentaries such as Contrafaces (2015), Aysha (2016) and Americano (2017). His work has been screened at festivals such as Shanghai (SIFF), New Horizons, Visions du Reel, D’A, Zinebi and Gijón.

He currently manages the film project development residence, Conecta Lab, on the island of San Simón.
